Take Eight minutes to learn tips for using iSurfa-360 Surface Roughness Gauge .

Dear friends, today I'm going to introduce the iSurfa-360 Surface Roughness Gauge produced by Mikrosize Company. This instrument is a really capable assistant in the field of material surface roughness measurement, providing accurate data support for various production and research work.

Before we start the operation, we need to do some preparatory work. First, check whether the iSurfa-360 Surface Roughness Gauge is damaged and make sure that all its components are in good condition. Then, check whether the power is sufficient. If you want to operate it by connecting to a computer, you also need to ensure that the computer is running properly and the relevant measurement program has been installed. In addition, wipe the surface of the sample to be measured clean. There should be no dust, oil stains or other impurities, otherwise it will seriously affect the measurement accuracy.

Once the preparations are done, you can turn on the iSurfa-360 Surface Roughness Gauge. Press the power switch. After a short while, the instrument will automatically power on and display the instrument model, name and the information of the manufacturer, Mikrosize Company. Then it will enter the main display interface of the basic measurement state. If the instrument hasn't been used for a long time, it is recommended to use the roughness standard sample block equipped with the measuring instrument to calibrate the detector. Start the "Detector Calibration Measurement", input the parameters of the standard sample block as prompted, set the measurement conditions, level the sample block as much as possible, and then carry out the calibration measurement. After the measurement is completed, the program will automatically give the calibration value.

Next, according to the measurement requirements, select and install the appropriate detector and probe, and make the corresponding program settings. For example, according to the actual situation of the workpiece to be measured and the measurement requirements, select the evaluation standard and set the measurement conditions such as the evaluation profile category, the reference length, and the number of intervals. Place the sample to be measured steadily on the workbench and level it according to the measurement needs, so that the plane of the sample to be measured or its generatrix is parallel to the guide rail, and the processing marks of the measured part are perpendicular to the running direction of the probe.

Once all the settings are completed, you can start the measurement. In the main interface state, press the start measurement key START, and the iSurfa-360 Surface Roughness Gauge will automatically start the measurement. During the measurement process, do not touch the instrument or the sample to avoid interfering with the measurement results. After the measurement is completed, the measurement results will be automatically displayed on the instrument screen, and the evaluation profile diagram will also be shown. The horizontal and vertical magnification ratios can be set automatically by the system or adjusted according to your needs. If you want to view the results of specific evaluation parameters, double-click the "Parameter Setting Area", and the program will automatically give the measurement results of the selected parameters. If you want to generate an analysis chart, double-click the "Analysis Chart Area" to achieve it.

After the measurement task is completed, raise the detector to a safe position, exit the measurement program, and turn off the power of the main unit. Finally, clean and maintain the iSurfa-360 Surface Roughness Gauge and store it properly for the next use.
