Research-Type Reflective Metallographic Microscope

1. Instrument Introduction

Supplied by Mikrosize, the research-oriented reflective metallographic microscope adopts a premium infinite optical system and modular functional design. Post-system upgrade, it enables polarized observation, bright field observation, and other functions. Its compact, stable integrated main body fully meets the stability requirements for microscope operation, while the optimized design ensures easier operation and more spacious usage.

Ideal for metallographic structure analysis and surface morphology microscopic observation, this instrument is widely used in metallurgy, mineralogy, and polymer materials science research. It suits transparent and opaque substance observation in electronic processing, casting, and other industries—covering metals, ceramics, integrated blocks, PCBs, LCD panels, films, fibers, coatings, etc. It also applies to observation and analysis in agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, fishery, and scientific research sectors.

2. Image Output System

Mikrosize’s metallographic microscope is equipped with an image output system. Traditional optical microscopes are organically integrated with computers (digital cameras) via photoelectric conversion: users can not only observe microscopic images through eyepieces but also directly view, capture real-time images via computers or digital cameras, and instantly photograph, save, and print required images.

DYJ-950C Model (Computer-Connected Type): Equipped with a professional industrial camera, it connects to a computer. Combined with metallographic analysis software, it enables metallographic module analysis, grading, and automatic report generation.

DYJ-950D Model (Digital Type): Designed for users with limited computer access, it captures metallographic structure images directly via a digital camera or DSLR. Later, images can be imported into a computer for metallographic analysis and grading reports using dedicated software.

3. Automatic Metallographic Analysis Function

Mikrosize’s metallographic microscope can be paired with metallographic image analysis software developed by Shanghai Dianying Optics, serving as a professional tool for metallographic analysis of cast iron (gray iron, ductile iron), cast steel, and other materials. The system integrates computers, information technology, digital imaging devices, and computer-aided metallographic analysis software: it acquires metallographic images directly from the microscope, stores them as digital files in the computer, further processes/analyzes images to calculate required detection parameters, and prints detection results in report format.

Compliant with national standards (GB) and industry standards (JB/YB/HB/QC/DL/DJ/STM, etc.), the analysis technology enables fast, accurate systematic measurement and evaluation. The system features a full Chinese interface (English optional)—concise, clear, and easy to operate. Users can master it freely after simple training or referring to the manual, providing a quick way to learn metallographic knowledge and popularize operations.

Thickness measurement of decarburized layers, carburized layers, and surface coatings.

Phase area measurement in ferritic/austenitic stainless steels.

Analysis of primary/eutectic silicon in high-silicon aluminum alloys, titanium alloy materials, etc.

Contains nearly 200 metallographic diagrams of common metal materials for comparison, meeting most units’metallographic analysis and inspection needs.

For emerging materials and imported grade materials not yet in the software, customized entry of materials and evaluation standards is available.
